American History X

American History X is a very intense movie that has to do with alot of racial issues. It is about a guy named Derek is a very very anit-semitic and his bad behaviour starts to rub off on his little brother Danny. After Derek kills 2 black guys after they try to break into his car he gets sent to jail for 3 years. While he's in jail, Danny starts to follow in his shoes by going to meetings and parties with Dereks old friends and other anti-semitic people. When Derek gets out he has a chamge of heart and no longer is the way he used to be. He trys to get Danny away from it all and his family too. Sadly in the end, Danny ends up getting shot at school by a black kid that he eariler on in movie stood up too. This movie was one of those that it is so hard to watch but again hard not to once you start. Overall this movie was good when it comes to showing how rascism and anti-semitism can get very out of head.

BIAS!!

" A bias is a prejudice in a general or specific sense, usually in the sense for having a preference to one particular point of view or ideological perspective. " An example of being bias is like when you are talking or writing about something and you have a strong opinion about the subject then you will talk about it in your point of view and stick strongly to it. For example when i talk about facebook to people, i do not like it at all and nothing anyone can say will change my mind. That's my definition and opinion about what bias is!

A Million Little Pieces !!!

The book "A million little pieces" by James Frey is a amazing book. It is soo intence the whole time you are reading it. It's a true story about a guy (James Frey) who was a drug addict and alcoholic and he is put into rehab and it tells all his ups and downs. It is very graphic like it tells about him like throwing up all the time and he swears everyother word. I found out about this book on Oprah. She had him on the show and was talking to him about it, i was interested so i bought it. There has been some gossip in the media saying that he lied about everything, Oprah had him back on the show and he admitted to lying about some things like peoples names and some little things that he just added to make it more interesting but the overall book is true. This is definitly the kind of book that you can't put down once you start and i completely recommend it to anyone.
